15th ANNUAL BLUE RIDGE CLASSIC HORSE SHOW, ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA

 Welcome to the 15th Annual Blue Ridge Classic Horse Show, July 24 - 28, 2007….. whether you’ve joined us before, or this is your first time with us, we are happy you’re here!!  

 ROADSTER HORSE DIVISION:  The Roadster Horse Division has been upgraded by USEF to an “A” rating.

 

ADDED CLASSES:  When re-working the class list to accommodate a Tuesday morning session, several classes that should have been included were not.  These additional classes are listed below:

 

  18A – $250 Added UPHA Roadster 4 Yr. Old Pony Classic – 1st class of Tuesday evening session

  25A – Friesian Saddle Seat Pleasure – Walk/Trot – before ring drag on Tuesday night

  34A – Hackney Pleasure Driving Pony – AHHS Youth Medallion – 1st class of Wednesday morning session

  71A – $200 Friesian Saddle Seat Pleasure – Walk/Trot Championship – 1st class of Thursday morning session

  131A – Morgan English Pleasure – Junior/Novice Horse Championship – last class of Friday morning session

  178A – Morgan Western Pleasure – Junior/Novice Horse Championship – 1st class of Saturday evening session

CAMPERS:  All camper sites will be locked.  If you are going to be a late night arrival, please call ahead and make arrangements or electricity will not be available.  All others should immediately, upon arrival, go to the show office for a camper permit.  Campers will be unlocked once permit is obtained.  PERMITS MUST BE VISABLY DISPLAYED IN WINDOW.

REMINDERS:

 

         TRAINING AIDS: Attention-getting devices and/or other noisemakers (including but not limited to tape measures, blow horns, bamboo poles, explosives, fire extinguishers, baby powder, whips longer than 6’, etc.) are not allowed in and around the makeup and competition rings during scheduled sessions.  All such items will be confiscated and offenders will be reported to the USEF.  (SB103.7, GR302.41 & GR320)

 

         BE SURE TO SETTLE YOUR SHOW ACCOUNT BEFORE THE END OF THE SATURDAY NIGHT SESSION.  Please come by early and verify your account to make sure the charges are correct.  Failure to do so will relinquish the right for change.  THE HORSE SHOW OFFICE WILL NOT BE OPEN ON SUNDAY FOLLOWING THE HORSE SHOW.

 

VERY IMPORTANT – MOTORIZED VEHICLES:  Children without a valid driver’s license will NOT be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind (including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters or farm utility vehicles) on the competition grounds.  Children with a valid temporary license may operate the above-described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license.  Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense.  Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule VI.  Wheelchair is exempt from the definition of a motorized vehicle for purposes of this rule.  (GR301.5)
